The Camping and Caravanning
Club is a national organisation run by its members. So that all members
are properly represented at national level, the country is divided into
Regions of which there are 13 in all. These Regions are also divided
into more local areas based on postcodes, which the Club calls District
Associations, affectionately known as DAs. There are 93 DAs in total.
When you join the Club you are automatically allocated membership to
your local DA. Details of which DA you belong to are printed at the
bottom of your current membership card.
As well as Regions and DAs, there are also a number of Special Interest
Sections within the Club that cater for members that like to camp with
other like-minded members. These sections are also divided into local
areas so whether it is the unit you camp in - lightweight tents, trailer
tents, motor caravans or caravans, or the hobby you enjoy - canoeing,
boating, walking, mountain biking and many more, you'll find that one of
the Club's Special Interest Sections caters for you.
The Central Counties
Region embraces the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire,
Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and the Metropolitan County
of West Midlands.
